Apology

The Bear heartily apologizes for not making clear that his recent article that featured an explanation of Caserta by the Pope was the Bear's best guess what he might say. The Pope never said it. The Bear thought he had made it clear, but on re-reading it, it just wasn't. Especially when you're putting words in the mouth of the Pope! That is probably not only a faux pas, but a sin.

Having said that, the Bear does think it is something like the Pope might say, based on what he has said.

So the Bear is sorry for the confusion. Please give him his One Screw-Up and forgive.

  2. No worries. Perhaps I was too gullible...or it was too believable?

    1. Sadly, it was probably right on the mark. We'll never know, of course. He just goes about whatever it is he is doing and we're left to just accept it.

  3. Actually I understood what you were doing but I can see how some might have taken it as the real words of the Pope. The sad part is that it could well have been authentic.

    1. Maybe the Bear could have a new career: ghost writer for the Pope!
