Checking In

My brother had a very nice visit with us. He was able to forget his medical problems, while we did all the things he loves to do when he comes down. He has lived in Ohio for 40 years, but southern Illinois will always be home to him. I have never seen anyone more attached to his family.

It was only a couple of weeks ago he learned he had stage four cancer. A bolt from the blue.

I thank you for your prayers. We are waiting to see if he is a candidate for a new immune therapy.

I have been pondering some points in the article about who the Pope is. I made a couple of new points.

  1. Bear,
Praying for your brother as well as your entire family.

  2. Glad for the good times you had with your bro. Let's pray for a successful treatment course for him.

  3. Bear, life is tough, and it gets tougher as we get older. By the time you're 80, you have to be tough as nails. You're no wimp, you're a gosh darn Marine by that time, if you aren't kookoo. You wouldn't believe what has happened in my life in the past year, and just four weeks ago, and four days ago. Sometimes it's relentless and you feel like Job. Hang in there. God bless you, big brother, and family.

  4. Good to hear Bear.

    ---Interested in your Pontiff points.

    ---Salmon is being delivered.

  5. Continuing prayers for you brother and your family.

  6. Bear, hope all is well with brother and you all. Our family is hurting too right now. Hang in there.
